Cooper Steel is seeking a Fleet Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, maintain and repair equipment across jobsites and shops. The role includes travel and site work to keep fleets operating safely and efficiently.
You will perform preventative maintenance, document service records, and coordinate with external vendors for specialized repairs. A CDL Class A and related diesel/electrical experience are required or preferred according to role specifics.

The Fleet Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing equipment. This position will require traveling to our jobsites and shops as necessary to repair and maintain equipment.

While performing certain duties of the job, the employee is required to stand, stoop, bend, twist, lift, pull, and reach. Use of hands for gripping and grasping required. Position performs work mostly at jobsites and other Cooper Steel locations which includes a variety of working conditions. These include the following conditions: noise level fluctuations from moderate to high, use of personal protective equipment, machine/equipment use. Position involves everyday risks or exposure to elements that require safety precautions. Position will be required to work in adverse weather conditions such as heat, humidity, cold, precipitation, etc.
