Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Mechanic to maintain and repair machinery and maintain our vehicle fleet. You will be responsible for ensuring functionality and reliability of machines, engines, and mechanical systems. An excellent mechanic must have manual dexterity and great attention to detail. They must be able to work with various machines and tools as well as follow all safety precautions.
Responsibilities

1. Inspect machines, engines, transmissions, etc. and run diagnostic tests to discover functionality issues
2. Conduct repairs aiming for maximum reliability
3. Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner
4. Perform thorough maintenance on machinery, equipment, and spray systems
5. Clean and apply lubricants to machinery components
6. Replenish fluids and components of engines and machinery
7. Provide consultation on correct maintenance and preventative measures to machine or vehicle users
8. Undertake other duties as assigned (e.g. repair of hydraulic systems, painting equipment, etc.)
9. Keep logs of work and report on issues

Skills

1. Proven experience as Mechanic
2. Excellent knowledge of machinery and hydraulic, electrical, and other systems and their components
3. Aptitude in using various hand tools (screwdrivers, hammers, etc.) and precision measurement tools (e.g. calipers)
4. Ability to follow established procedures and practices and read instructions, blueprints, etc.
5. A strong commitment to all health and safety guidelines
6. Very good communication skills
7. A problem-solving ability
8. Very good physical strength and stamina
9. High school diploma; Certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship is a definite plus

Salary: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
