Job summary

Valley Tree Care LLC in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a seasoned Automotive and Equipment Mechanic to keep our fleet in top condition. You will work with management to meet maintenance goals and ensure safe, reliable operations. Ideal candidates have 3 years of mechanic experience in fleet or equipment maintenance and a strong safety focus.

This full-time role offers 40 hours per week with possible weekend work, plus benefits including health insurance, paid time off, company holidays, and a 401(k).

Qualifications

• 3 years of mechanic experience preferred.
• Fleet or equipment maintenance experience is essential.

Valley Tree Care is looking for a seasoned Automotive and Equipment Mechanic to join our team!

Compensation:

$20 - $30 / hour depending on qualifications and experience

Job Description:

• Work closely with management to ensure vehicle and equipment maintenance goals are met
• Perform maintenance on all company vehicles and equipment including but not limited to: trucks, trailers, wood chippers, stump grinders, chainsaws.
• Coordinate with vendors for vehicle maintenance services and repairs
• Drive company vehicles to and from the yard safely

Requirements:

• Growth oriented, proactive, problem solving, and professional
• Driven and self-motivated, as you will be working alone majority of the time
• Industry experience in fleet maintenance or equipment maintenance is essential
• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance practices and regulatory requirements
• Prior mechanic experience
• Prior heavy truck/trailer repair and maintenance (plus, not required)
• Strong dedication to safety
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel and crawl to repair vehicles
• Ability to work outside in various weather conditions
