Responsibilities

• Work with management to meet vehicle and equipment maintenance goals.
• Maintain all company vehicles and equipment including trucks, trailers, chippers, grinders, chainsaws.
• Coordinate with vendors for services and repairs.
• Drive company vehicles to and from the yard safely.

Fleet & Equipment Mechanic

Valley Tree Care is looking for a seasoned Automotive and Equipment Mechanic to join our team!

Compensation

$20 - $30 / hour depending on qualifications and experience

Requirements

• Growth oriented, proactive, problem solving, and professional


• Driven and self-motivated, as you will be working alone majority of the time


• Industry experience in fleet maintenance or equipment maintenance is essential


• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance practices and regulatory requirements


• Prior mechanic experience


• Prior heavy truck/trailer repair and maintenance (plus, not required)


• Strong dedication to safety


• Strong written and verbal communication skills


• Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel and crawl to repair vehicles


• Ability to work outside in various weather conditions


• Valid driver’s license AND clean driving record (REQUIRED)

Job Description

• Work closely with management to ensure vehicle and equipment maintenance goals are met


• Perform maintenance on all company vehicles and equipment including but not limited to: trucks, trailers, wood chippers, stump grinders, chainsaws.


• Coordinate with vendors for vehicle maintenance services and repairs


• Drive company vehicles to and from the yard safely

• Monday to Friday with the understanding that working some weekends may be required

Experience

• 3 years of mechanic experience preferred/required

License/Certification
