TRUCKING PEOPLE in Austin, TX is seeking a Fleet Manager to oversee a cutting-edge autonomous vehicle fleet, ensuring safety, readiness and peak performance.

You will coordinate preventative maintenance, oversee repairs with internal teams and partner centers, maintain fleet health records, and lead cross-functional collaboration with engineering and field ops. Travel between Austin and Dallas is required, with company-covered travel.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing large-scale fleets (corporate, taxi, rideshare, or bus operations).
• Strong organizational skills to oversee dozens of vehicles.
• Solid mechanical aptitude and ability to coordinate repairs.
• Detail-oriented, self-sufficient and accountable with ownership of fleet operations.
• Excellent communication at a central hub for updates.
• Valid driver's license with a clean record.
• Willingness to travel regularly between Austin and Dallas; travel covered by the company.

• Develop and refine fleet health tracking systems for accuracy and timely reporting.
• Support incident response including towing, recovery, and urgent repairs.

Fleet Manager (Autonomous Vehicles)

Location: Austin (70%) & Dallas (30%) – travel provided

Schedule: Full-time, 9am–6pm (flexible for travel needs)

Pay Range: $55,000 – $65,000 annually (based on experience)

About the Role

We are seeking a Fleet Manager to oversee the health, performance, and servicing of a cutting‑edge fleet of autonomous vehicles.

In this role, you’ll be the central authority on fleet readiness—ensuring every vehicle operates safely, reliably, and at peak performance. From coordinating preventative maintenance and mechanical repairs to leading large‑scale service campaigns, you’ll be the go‑to person for keeping the fleet in top shape.
