Job summary

Top Echelon Software, LLC is hiring Fleet Specialists to support autonomous trucking operations in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. You will work from the front seat to prepare the autonomous system for missions, monitor real-time behavior, troubleshoot issues, and relay findings to engineering teams.

The role requires strong technical aptitude with Linux, terminals, and Python, plus the ability to follow detailed procedures and document clearly. Onsite work with potential travel is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ops, fleet ops, or similar experience.
• Strong technical aptitude with Linux, terminals, scripting, Python.
• Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software errors.
• Strong written communication and technical documentation skills.
• Ability to follow detailed procedures under time pressure.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work with Vehicle Operators and engineering teams.
• Comfort around Class 8 trucks and sitting in a vehicle for extended periods.
• Willingness to support changing schedules and travel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare autonomous vehicle systems for missions with software, map, firmware, and mission configuration checks.
• Launch and manage missions using internal applications, Jira, and Linux terminal workflows.
• Monitor vehicle and autonomy system health in real time and communicate with the Vehicle Operator.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, connectivity, and system faults and escalate unresolved issues to engineering or technical teams.
• Annotate on-road events, disengagements, delays, and system behavior with technical context.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip AV system inspections, including sensor and hardware checks.
• Verify mission data, logs, and data drives are properly captured and offloaded.
• Maintain accurate mission records, technical documentation, and shift handoffs.
