Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years in transportation in a non-driver role.
• Working knowledge of DOT regulations.
• Experience with backhaul planning and fleet optimization is preferred.
• 3+ years in Fleet Manager or Dispatcher roles is preferred.
• Experience with TMW, Omnitracs, Qualcomm or similar systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, assign, and dispatch freight to maximize driver and equipment utilization.
• Coordinate daily load planning, scheduling, and fleet operations.
• Maintain regular communication with drivers on load assignments and service requirements.
• Monitor Hours of Service, DOT compliance, and company policy before dispatch.
• Optimize equipment utilization and backhaul opportunities.
• Coordinate maintenance scheduling with the Maintenance team to minimize downtime.
• Lead and develop assigned team members with coaching and feedback.
• Collaborate with Safety, Payroll, and other departments to improve efficiency.
