Job summary

Covenant Transport, Inc. in Chattanooga seeks a Fleet Manager, AAT to coordinate day-to-day operations with the Operations Planner and professional drivers.

You will dispatch loads, confirm each load, and serve as the drivers' primary contact for issues. You will collaborate with planning, CSR, and safety teams to meet pickup and delivery times, monitor performance, and support drivers in hours-of-service optimization.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate maintenance schedule with Director of Safey.
• Work with Director of Safety to ensure trucks are ready for planning.

Job description

The Fleet Manager, AAT will work directly with the Operations Planner and Professional Drivers to run day to day operations. They will be responsible for dispatching all loads and communicating the load information to drivers as well as being the drivers’ first line of communication for related topics. The Fleet Manager will also work with other departments to ensure operational goals are met.

Education/Experience: Associate's degree or equivalent work experience required. 1-3 years' experience in transportation or logistics preferred.

The posted range reflects the full pay band for the position. The expected pay range below represents where most candidates are hired, based on experience, skills, and internal equity. Candidates with more extensive or highly relevant experience may be considered toward the higher end of the overall pay band.

• Expected Pay Range: $49,657.00-$56,485.20
• Full Pay Range: $49,657.00-$77,924.00
• Pay Grade: 8401(k)
