Job summary

Flying Star Transport LLC is seeking a skilled Fleet Maintenance Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain our diesel truck fleet, ensuring reliability and safety. You’ll work in a fast-paced shop focused on uptime and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year in the motor carrier maintenance industry.
• Knowledge of class 8 trucks and trailers.
• Basic diagnostic skills for electrical as well as mechanical breakdowns (ADD).
• Current CDL with HazMat and Tanker endorsements preferred, but not required.
• Experience with maintaining inventory and vehicle maintenance records preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to keep drivers moving and fleet productive.
• Control time and material costs; be proactive in repairs.
• Keep the shop neat, clean, and safe at all times.

What You'd Do:

• KEEP DRIVERS MOVING. Diagnosing & correcting equipment issues that keep our fleet at optimum productivity.
• CONTROL COSTS. Be innovative and proactive in your approach to repairs to help us control both time & material costs.
• BE NEAT, CLEAN AND SAFE. Keep tools, equipment, shops, and property clean, organized, and safe at all times.

What We Need

• Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic knowledge.
• Basic diagnostic skills for electrical as well as mechanical breakdowns (ADD).
• Must be able to speak and read English.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Current CDL with HazMat and Tanker endorsements preferred, but not required.
• Experience with maintaining inventory and vehicle maintenance records preferred.
• A willingness to share in an on-call schedule for after-hours and weekends.
