Job summary

Alex Lee is seeking a Fleet Operations Supervisor in North Carolina to oversee the garage and mechanics, ensuring efficient task completion and high standards. The role requires experience with heavy duty diesel equipment, strong communication, and multitasking abilities within automotive services.

You will manage work orders, coordinate dispatch and road call activities, and maintain KPI records while ensuring safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Three to five years work experience in vehicle/equipment maintenance, parts, and fuel management and/or transportation.
• ASE certification preferred.
• Technical knowledge of internal combustion diesel and electric powered vehicles.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office and fleet management systems.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Attention to detail and proactive problem-solving.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely and efficient workflow by prioritizing/allocating tasks with mechanics and technicians.
• Coordinate daily operations of the garage, managing and closing out work orders, ensuring proper completion.
• Serve as the point of contact for Dispatch, Central and MTH, coordinating and providing updates on repair status and addressing inquiries.
• Maintain accurate records of preventative maintenance KPIs and reporting
• Assist in ordering and managing inventory of parts and supplies.
• Monitor and oversee road call activities.
• Coordinate and manage preventative maintenance orders for remote sites, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
• Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the garage.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
• Approve the work completed by Apprentice.
• Support Fleet Manager and other staff with necessary tasks and perform repairs as needed.
