Job summary

Vector Fleet Management, an Amerit Fleet Solutions Company, is seeking qualified Medium/Heavy Diesel Technicians for our Big Spring, TX area fleet. You’ll perform preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines to keep client vehicles running reliably.

Shift Mon-Fri, 8:00am-5:00pm with competitive hourly pay and weekly Fridays. We offer full benefits within 30 days, 401(k) match, paid vacation, and opportunities for career development through Amerit University.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience on Heavy/Medium Duty Diesel Trucks and Equipment.
• Able to perform preventive and repair maintenance on diesel engines and emergency vehicles.
• Own basic hand tools and wheeled toolbox suitable for daily use.
• ASE or OEM Certifications are desirable.
• Willingness to pursue further technical training and certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and related systems.
• Diagnose issues and complete repairs to keep fleets in service.
• Maintain documented records of work performed and parts used.
• Follow safety protocols and company policies in all tasks.

Position Summary

We are currently accepting applications for qualified Medium/Heavy Diesel Technicians to support our customer’s fleet located in the Big Spring, TX area.

Compensation: Competitive Hourly Pay - PAID EVERY FRIDAY! $28.00-32.00/hr depending on experience!

Shift: M-F, 8:00am - 5:00pm

Qualifications/Requirements

• 2+ years’ experience working on Heavy/Medium Duty Diesel Trucks and Equipment


• Must have the ability to perform preventive and repair maintenance on diesel engines and emergency apparatus


• Technicians must own basic set of hand tools and wheeled toolboxsuitable for daily use


• ASE or OEM Certifications highly desirable


• Trade School Certificates a plus


• Willingness and ability to advance technical training and certification in emergency vehicle repair


• Must have acceptable driving record and pass drug test and background check

Working Conditions:

• Exposure to heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job.


• Exposure to considerable amounts of dust, diesel fumes and noise.


• Exposure to chemicals, oils, greases or other irritants


• Access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenance


• Ability to move and position heavy objects


• Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel and crawl to repair vehicles


• Ability to work outside in various weather conditions.
