Lincoln County's Fleet Services Division is seeking a skilled maintenance mechanic to perform routine preventive maintenance and minor repairs on a wide range of vehicles and equipment, including cars, trucks, transit vehicles, buses, machinery, and emergency gear.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED, 2–3 years of experience, CPR/First Aid certification, and a valid Oregon Class B license. The role involves mechanical work, diagnostics, welding, and thorough record-keeping.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two–Three years progressive experience as a preventative maintenance mechanic/technician.
• CPR/First Aid certification.
• Valid Oregon Class B driver's license.

Responsabilidades

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on light, medium, and heavy vehicles and equipment.
• Carry out minor engine, transmission, braking and other mechanical repairs.
• Perform minor electronic and emission control repairs; service fuel injection systems.
• Welding/cutting operations as needed and fabricate parts for custom jobs.
• Maintain records of maintenance and repairs and ensure safety compliance.
• Inspect vehicles and equipment for reliability and safety.
