Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, maintain, repair, and modify City-owned vehicles and equipment.
  • Estimate costs, prepare specs, request quotes, and coordinate parts and outside repairs.
  • Schedule services using preventive maintenance programs and repair request systems.
  • Order parts online and update inventory and costs.
  • Design and fabricate custom parts and tools for service trucks.
  • Respond to after-hours emergencies and possible overtime.
  • Maintain maintenance records and prepare short-range work schedules.
  • Provide technical assistance and training to operators and staff.
