Job summary

COR in Portland, OR is seeking a Fleet Technician Entry Level to perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on vehicles used in solid waste operations. The role requires strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to complete timely repairs with minimal supervision.

You will work with Advanced Technicians, document work in fleet software, and help ensure fleet reliability and safety. A high school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license are required; ASE or CDL credentials are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years of experience in heavy-duty vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Experience with hydraulic systems and electronic diagnostics.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics and repair on engines, transmissions, brakes, hydraulics, electrical systems, and other vehicle components.
• Conduct preventive maintenance tasks and inspections.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues to minimize downtime.
• Document repairs and parts used in fleet management software.
• Ensure safety standards and DOT/compliance during maintenance.
