COR Disposal & Recycling in Portland, OR seeks an Entry Level Fleet Technician to diagnose and repair components of the solid waste fleet, including diesel engines, hydraulics, brakes, and electrical systems. The role emphasizes safety, strong mechanical aptitude, and timely repairs with limited supervision.

You will support senior technicians, document maintenance in fleet software, and help ensure fleet reliability and efficient operations in a busy shop environment.

Formación

• 3-5 years of experience in heavy-duty vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Experience with hydraulic systems and electronic diagnostics.
• High school diploma or GED; valid driver's license.
• Technical certifications or vocational training; ASE/CDL preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Perform diagnostics and repair on engines, transmissions, brakes, hydraulics, electrical systems.
• Conduct preventive maintenance such as brake replacements and suspension work.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues to minimize downtime.
• Use diagnostic tools and service manuals; document repairs in fleet software.
• Assist Fleet Technicians IIs and supervisors with major repairs and projects.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities and track parts usage.
