Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking a Fleet Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on a fleet of delivery vehicles. The role involves using the AVMS system to track work, manage parts, and help control costs while maintaining safety and regulatory standards.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in fleet repair, knowledge of DOT rules, and a HS diploma or GED; an associate degree in automotive tech is a plus. On-site position with flexible scheduling to cover shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Two years or more of experience in fleet vehicle mechanical repairs and maintenance scheduling.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and vehicle laws to meet standards.
• High school diploma or GED; associate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on fleet vehicles.
• Utilize AVMS system to track shop operations and duties.
• Assist with cost control via purchasing and inventory management.
• Maintain shop safety, cleanliness, and OSHA/DOT compliance.
• Repair brakes, tires, belts, hoses, and more; inspect vehicles regularly.
• Document repairs and inspections; follow company policies.
