MTM Transit is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Technician Class A to maintain a 112-vehicle fleet in Gilbert, AZ. You will perform service, diagnose, and repair MTM Transit vehicles, with a focus on safety and reliability. We offer industry-leading training, ASE bonuses, and a supportive culture to help you grow.

Starting pay is $39.00 per hour, with an annual sign-on bonus of $5,000 and opportunities for ASE certification bonuses and career development within a safety‑driven team.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid U.S. Driver's License for past 3 years.
• Authorized to work in AZ and the United States.
• Minimum 4+ years auto/truck experience or automotive coursework.

Mansioni

What will your job look like?

We are looking for a Fleet Maintenance Technician Class A to help maintain a fleet of 112 vehicles in our Gilbert, AZ location. This position consists of service, diagnosing, repair, and general maintenance of MTM Transit service vehicles.

Schedule: All available schedules include weekend days.

What you'll do:

• Responsible for maintenance, electrical service, diagnosing, & repair of MTM Transit service vehicles
• Responsible for general maintenance and repairs of MTM Transit facilities and grounds
• Areas of repair to include but not limited to: automotive vehicle, light duty truck, heavy duty transit bus powertrains, undercarriage/ chassis, electronic and electrical equipment, air conditioning and heating systems, and vehicle accessories and equipment drivability and diagnosis
• Ensure accuracy when completing electronic work orders
• Assist in maintaining shop and facility to include servicing vehicle lifts, pumps, and like equipment as needed
• Perform additional duties as assigned or required

What you'll need:

Experience, Education & Certifications:

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
• Must be 21 years or older
• Valid U.S. Driver's License for the past 3 years
• Possess valid authorization to work in the State of Arizona and the United States
• Must have minimum of 4+ years of auto/truck experience or automotive courses from automotive institute
• Must be able to pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug screening
• Must pass criminal background check investigation & Motor Vehicle Record check
• No DUI's, DWI's or Reckless driving in the past 5 years
• Must not have more than 1 moving violation during each of the last 3 years
• In the event that your license has been previously revoked, you must have at least 3 full subsequent years post reinstatement with no violations

Skills:

• Must possess the AC609 Certification or ability to obtain
• Experience using hand and power tools, machinery, sophisticated test and diagnostic equipment related to automotive repair
• Must possess proper hand tools or willing to obtain. MTM will supply diagnostic, heavy and specialty equipment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Good organizational skills with attention to timeliness and details
• Proficient in computer skills to ensure electronic repair work orders are completed correctly
• Visibly demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures
• Ability to attend safety and vehicle repair course as may be required
• Willing to adhere to company policies, procedures and regulations
• Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality
• Regular attendance is required

MTM Transit ASE Certification Program $$$$

Master ASE certification in an approved series, the employee will receive an annual bonus of $2,500 . For each year the employee retains their Master ASE in an approved series you will receive $2,500.
Each initial passing of an ASE test you will now receive a one time bonus of $250.00.
MTM will pay for each test for the technicians up to 2 times per test.
