Job summary

Athens Services is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Technician I to diagnose and repair diesel and CNG fleet vehicles, review Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports, and perform preventive maintenance and roadside repairs to keep the fleet running smoothly.

Ideal candidates have ASE certifications for Medium/Heavy Trucks (T2–T8), DOT CHP experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to read technical information; CDL Class A/B is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; trade schooling helpful.
• ASE Medium/Heavy Truck Certifications (T2–T8) preferred.
• Familiar with DOT CHP repair processes and Drivers Vehicle Inspection Reports.
• Strong communication skills and ability to read technical information.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance per Standard Repair Times (SRTs).
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, brake, suspension, and HVAC systems.
• Conduct safety inspections and roadside emergency repairs as directed.
• Document parts usage and repair times; complete required paperwork.
