Job summary

Athens Services is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Technician to diagnose and repair mechanical issues in diesel and CNG fleets. You will perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and roadside repairs, and document parts usage and repair times. Strong communication skills and familiarity with DOT CHP repair processes are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and/or GED required.
• Knowledge of DOT CHP repair processes and logs.
• Must communicate mechanical issues clearly.
• Adhere to OSHA safety standards.
• Professional and composed demeanor.
• Ability to read service/technical information.
• Valid Class C Driver’s License.
• Clean driving record.
• Must have personal tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance per Standard Repair Times (SRTs).
• Perform senior-level repairs and preventive maintenance tasks.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems.
• Perform safety inspections and checks on vehicles/equipment.
• Provide roadside emergency diagnosis and repair as directed.
• Document parts usage and repair times; complete required paperwork.
• Complete safety/compliance training.
