Job summary

Chick‑fil‑A Supply is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Technician—Class C at our Hutchins, TX location. You will service heavy duty tractors, refrigeration units, trailers and liftgates to maximize equipment availability for delivery.

Responsibilities include inspections, fluid management, preventive maintenance, and thorough documentation. The role requires working nights/weekends as needed and adherence to safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• EPA 608/609 licenses required within 12 months of hire.
• Willingness to train on Cummins Insite and Bendix ACOM.
• Working knowledge of transportation equipment and diesel exhaust fluid usage.
• Ability to operate safety and environmental equipment and wear PPE.
• Willing to progress with industry certifications (ASE, EPA 608/609).

Responsibilities

• Perform duties following Chick‑fil‑A safety standards.
• Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment.
• Ensure diesel exhaust fluid levels for deliveries.
• Maintain fuel dispense records per regulations.
• Wash and maintain tractors, trailers, and trucks.
• Operate safety equipment and environmental gear.
• Clean spills and residues per safety procedures.
• Train with peers on Fleet maintenance requirements.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical/electrical issues.
• Document repairs and work orders in the system.
• Perform preventative maintenance on batteries and lubrication.
• Use hand tools and power tools for repairs.
• Lift heavy parts with jacks/hoists; raise with hydraulic jacks.
• Escalate problems to Supervisor; follow directions.
• Adhere to traffic laws and FMCSA guidelines.
• Possibly operate a company vehicle for repairs or pickups.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area; work safely.
• Other duties as assigned.
