Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to diagnose and repair multi-system issues on diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, hydraulics, and air systems. You will perform preventative maintenance on on-site and road equipment, with opportunities to learn new technologies and advance within a large national fleet.

The role requires 3–5 years in a technician capacity or recent graduation from an automotive program, with a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Ability to diagnose multi-system issues and demonstrate technical expertise.
• Experience with maintenance on heavy/light trucks (Classes 1-8) or equivalent equipment.
• ASE Certifications (T1-T8) are a plus but not required.
• Commercial Driver’s License is a plus but not required.
• 3-5 years in a technician role or graduation from an automotive program within 3 months.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair multi-system vehicle components and chassis, refuse bodies, brakes, and hydraulics.
• Perform preventative maintenance on on-site and road equipment.
• Provide mobile road service to return equipment to operation safely.
• Utilize electronic tools to identify malfunctions and complete required training.
• Weld and fabricate as needed for line maintenance.
• Follow company policies and documentation standards.
