Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis components, refuse bodies, and control systems. You will service on-site and on the road, with a focus on safety and efficiency while supporting drivers and routes across the fleet.

The role requires strong multi-system diagnostic skills, experience with heavy-duty trucks, and a willingness to learn new technologies.

Qualifications

• Diagnose multi-system issues and demonstrate technical expertise.
• Basic understanding of work order labor time standards.
• Experience with Classes 1-5 light/medium duty and heavy-duty Class 7-8 trucks, aircraft, or ships.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge and proficiency in vehicle components and systems for preventive and repair maintenance.
• Chassis, refuse bodies, hydraulic and electrical systems; and air/hydraulic braking systems maintenance.
• Light engine repair and maintenance; suspension, drivetrain and steering systems; heating and air conditioning.
