Job summary

Cohen Recycling is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor in Middletown, OH to lead the garage team responsible for trucks, trailers, and related equipment. You will set maintenance priorities, supervise technicians, and ensure timely, safe repairs to keep the fleet mission-ready.

The ideal candidate has strong diesel/mechanical knowledge, prior supervision, and a solid track record in preventive maintenance, safety, and DOT/compliance procedures.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical and diesel maintenance knowledge required.
• Experience supervising maintenance teams in a fast-paced shop.
• Familiarity with DOT and safety compliance for commercial fleets.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct the garage maintenance team daily.
• Schedule and monitor preventive maintenance and repairs.
• Oversee diagnostics, repairs, and inspections of trucks and trailers.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and safety documentation.
• Provide technical guidance and training to staff.
• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards.
• Coordinate parts, vendors, and repair services as needed.
• Communicate status and priorities to management.
