Job summary

Cohen Recycling in Middletown, OH is seeking a skilled Truck/Garage Mechanic to maintain a fleet of trucks and trailers and support the maintenance team in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires attention to detail, the ability to work alone or with others, and basic mechanical skills. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose issues, and ensure safety standards are met following Cohen guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
• Mechanical/Maintenance skill set.
• Basic mechanical tools.
• Good communication, language and reading skills.
• Good physical condition; able to lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a fleet of trucks.
• Maintain a fleet of trailers; vans, flatbed and roll-off.
• Identify and determine parts required for repairs.
• Brake repair and adjustments.
• Diagnose and repair truck and trailer malfunctions.
• Tear down, assemble, and inspect industrial equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
• Comply with safety regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.
