Job summary

Coastal Waste & Recycling is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Supervisor in New York to lead diesel technician teams and keep trucks and equipment safe and available. You will develop technicians, promote safety, and partner with Operations to meet daily service commitments.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of heavy-duty diesel maintenance experience.
• Two or more years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, heavy equipment, and OSHA/DOT requirements.
• ASE certifications and a Class A CDL are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Diesel Technician teams and oversee daily shop operations.
• Plan and monitor maintenance activities to maximize uptime.
• Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are completed on time.
• Coach employees with regular feedback and performance discussions.
• Partner with Operations to prioritize repairs and minimize downtime.
• Maintain shop records and ensure safety standards are met.
