Job summary

Coastal Waste & Recycling Inc. is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Supervisor in Florida to lead and develop a team of diesel technicians, drive safety culture, and ensure reliable trucks and equipment. You will oversee daily shop operations, plan maintenance, and collaborate with Operations to meet service commitments.

The role requires extensive diesel maintenance experience, leadership skills, and knowledge of DOT/OSHA standards. ASE certifications and CDL are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Five years or more of heavy-duty diesel maintenance experience.
• Two years or more of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, heavy equipment, and preventive maintenance programs.
• Familiarity with DOT regulations and OSHA requirements.
• Ability to coach, develop, and lead technical employees; strong communication and planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop Diesel Technician staff and other maintenance personnel.
• Promote safety, accountability, quality workmanship, and continuous improvement.
• Plan and monitor daily maintenance activities to maximize shop productivity and equipment availability.
• Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are completed on time and repairs meet standards.
• Coordinate with Operations to prioritize repairs and minimize downtime; manage records and shop organization.
