Job summary

Arcwood Environmental is seeking a Transportation Maintenance Supervisor to oversee and plan maintenance for the company’s rolling fleet. You will ensure safe operations, manage budgets, and coordinate with sub-contracted garages as needed.

The role requires 3+ years in transportation maintenance and prior supervisory experience; welding and DOT compliance knowledge are essential. Onsite location in Benton, AR with a commitment to safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• MIG/TIG welding training is required.
• Training in airbrake assembly/repair, air conditioning, and SCR engines is required.
• CDL license is preferred.
• Minimum 3+ years of maintenance experience in transportation industry.
• Previous supervisory experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and plan maintenance activities for the rolling fleet.
• Prioritize health and safety and enforce safe practices at all times.
• Develop relationships with vendors and manage parts inventory.
• Review expenses related to inventories to ensure equipment and parts are kept within budget.
• Review and write maintenance manuals and ensure DOT compliance.
• Schedule, prioritize and track maintenance tasks to meet dispatch obligations.
• Hire, train and evaluate maintenance staff; set shop hours as needed.
• Take on additional duties to support the team and organization.
