Job summary

XPO is hiring a Shop Supervisor in Dallas for a role that leads maintenance teams, schedules work, and oversees routine servicing of Class 7 and 8 diesel equipment. The position emphasizes safety, efficiency, and cost control on a dynamic loading dock environment.

Qualifications

• 2 years of fleet maintenance or management experience
• Solid verbal and written communication skills; ability to lead and motivate others
• Availability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends
• Associate degree or equivalent related work or military experience
• Current CDL and ASE Certifications are a plus

Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance employees and contract workers, including hiring, scheduling, work assignments, and promotions/terminations.
• Observe, mentor, develop and review mechanics and shop staff performance.
• Oversee routine maintenance for class 7 and 8 diesel equipment, forklifts, and trailing equipment.
• Ensure work orders are closed accurately and timely.
• Perform safety inspections and prepare safety documentation.
• Monitor inventory and parts in the tracking system.
• Coordinate with service centers on repairs and parts needs.
• Manage shop costs and supplies.
• Ensure compliance with DOT policies and standard work instructions.
