Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America in Colorado's Mountain Area East maintains DFA-owned equipment and leads a maintenance shop team to keep fleets safe, compliant, and efficient. You will plan, schedule, and document repairs while directing mechanics to high-quality outcomes.

The role requires extensive diesel and heavy equipment knowledge, supervisory experience, and strong safety and regulatory compliance. Salary is $85k–$90k with bonuses potential, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. with 5 years diesel/heavy equipment repair experience.
• Technical degree in diesel equipment with 3+ years experience.
• Valid state driver's license; ASE Master Certified preferred; CAFM certifications preferred; CDL preferred.
• Willingness to work a 24/7 schedule.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Create and execute daily/weekly plans for all shop locations, prioritizing maintenance and safety.
• Supervise financial status, labor, supplies, and budget; manage shop inventory and approvals.
• Monitor performance and drive continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
• Review DVIRs and ensure proper paperwork and parts usage are tracked.
• Ensure safety procedures per company policy, OSHA, and DOT regulations.
