Job summary

Apple Valley Recycling Center is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Coordinator to support the Fleet Maintenance Manager and shop team in Manassas. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years in fleet maintenance administration or related field preferred.
• Experience with preventive maintenance scheduling and work orders.
• Familiarity with fleet maintenance software and CMMS.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of DOT maintenance and inspection recordkeeping preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate preventive maintenance, repairs, work orders, parts, and vendor activity.
• Serve as central communication point among maintenance, operations, drivers, and vendors.
• Create, update, and close work orders with accurate documentation.
• Track DVIR defects and driver-reported issues to ensure completion.
• Maintain equipment status lists and communicate priorities and timelines.
• Coordinate outside repairs, towing, tire service, and vendor support.
• Assist with parts procurement, pricing, and inventory replenishment.
• Review vendor estimates and invoices against approved work.
• Audit records for completeness and accuracy; ensure compliance.
• Standardize shop admin processes and promote cost control.
