Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Perform major and minor preventative maintenance on state vehicles and equipment; diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic problems.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work environment and manage inventory of parts and supplies.
  • Explain technical diagnoses to non-mechanical staff and coordinate roadside assistance and towing when needed.
  • Supervise the repair facility, review work, and provide training on engine issues and part replacement.
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate operations of the fleet facility and budget, ensuring proper equipment and scheduling.
