Job summary

Action Environmental is seeking a Service Manager to lead the maintenance team across locations in the Southeast. You will coordinate, schedule and audit vehicle maintenance, including preventive, mechanical and electrical repairs, ensuring safety and cost efficiency.

You will mentor technicians, develop training plans, manage vendor relations and report performance metrics. Strong communication and organization are essential to keep operations compliant and vehicles ready for service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of similar or related experience with proven leadership.
• Demonstrated strong oral, written and electronic communication skills.
• Ability to work with employees at all levels of the organization.
• College degree preferred but will consider relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all maintenance and shop activities within the company, including PM programs and warranty work.
• Leads the shop safety programs and ensures policies are followed.
• Provides guidance to ensure necessary items meet goals for safe, well-maintained equipment.
• Works with leadership on mechanic audits and development plans.
• Manages training and tooling needs to meet company requirements.
• Performs shop facility audits to ensure safe, compliant workplace.
• Develops and reports maintenance metrics to drive performance.
• Collaborates with vendors to ensure cost-effective repairs and inventory control.
