Job summary

Waste Pro of Louisiana is seeking a Fleet Manager for the Lake Charles and Lafayette division to oversee maintenance staff and vehicle support. The role ensures fleet reliability, safety, and cost-efficient performance in partnership with regional leadership.

The position requires extensive fleet management experience, strong project management, and knowledge of EPA/DOT/OSHA regulations. CDL preferred, with hands-on maintenance involvement as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• 15+ years of progressive hands-on fleet management experience.
• Strong project management and communication skills.
• Specialized understanding of EPA, DOT, OSHA regulations.
• Proficiency with maintenance software and MS Office tools.
• CDL license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee hiring, training, and performance of maintenance staff.
• Maintain preventive/corrective maintenance programs and driver safety responsibilities.
• Monitor fleet data, parts inventory, repairs, and safety performance.
• Coordinate with Safety and Regional Maintenance Manager on compliance and cost controls.
• Assist in budgeting and procurement of vehicles, equipment and tools.
• Provide hands-on maintenance support as needed.
