Responsibilities

MV Transportation is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Manager who will be a dynamic, multi-task oriented senior professional to manage all day-to-day maintenance aspects of this fixed route bus operation. The Fleet Maintenance Manager will ensure that all contractual requirements are achieved. Duties include preparing daily, weekly, monthly, and annual reports, and managing a maintenance budget.

Qualifications

Talent Requirements:

• Must have ASE Certification and at least 5 years of experience as a mechanic with heavy-duty vehicle experience.
• At least 2 years of experience as a lead mechanic with supervisory capacity.
• Experience managing/leading 10+ employees (fleet technicians, service workers, cleaners).
• Experience working with 50+ buses within the last year.
• Previous passenger transportation experience preferred.
• Ability to manage and interface with clients.
• Ability to track and control parts inventories, vendors, and suppliers.
• Proficiency in managing work schedules, projects, and assignments.
• Experience managing financial and accounting aspects of fleet maintenance.
• Effective communication skills in written and oral formats.
• Computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, and Microsoft Outlook.
• Technical competence in light/medium/heavy-duty vehicle repair and preventive maintenance.
• Initiative, professionalism, candor, and tact at all times.
• Manufacture's certifications are a plus.
• Technical experience with fixed route transit bus maintenance.
• Knowledge of managing audits and PM schedules.
• Experience with Diesel, CNG, and Alternative fuels is a plus.
• Must hold a CDL Class B with passenger and airbrake endorsements.

Starting salary range: $95,000 - $120,000
