Job summary

TLD Logistics Services, Inc. seeks a Senior Maintenance Manager to lead the strategic and operational maintenance for our commercial fleet of tractors, trailers, and related equipment.

You will drive preventive maintenance, vendor performance, parts control, and capital planning to ensure high availability and cost-effective operations across the network. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in business, transportation, fleet management, diesel technology, or related field preferred.
• At least 10 years of progressive commercial fleet maintenance, diesel repair, or heavy-equipment service experience, including at least five years leading a maintenance operation or technical team at the manager level or above.
• Knowledge of diesel tractors, trailers, preventive maintenance, diagnostics, repair practices, shop operations, and vendor-managed repair services.
• Working knowledge of DOT/FMCSA inspection, repair, maintenance, and recordkeeping requirements.
• Experience managing budgets, repair authorization, parts inventory, vendors, warranties, and maintenance performance metrics.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and fleet maintenance, work-order, or transportation management systems.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet Company driving requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead fleet maintenance, repair, inspection, and shop operations for commercial tractors, trailers, and related equipment.
• Establish fleet maintenance strategy, standards, staffing models, and performance expectations across locations and outsourced providers.
• Monitor fleet condition, availability, and shop workload; prioritize repairs to maintain capacity.
• Develop and improve preventive maintenance and inspection programs.
• Ensure repairs are diagnosed, authorized, completed, documented, and quality-checked before return to service.
• Coordinate roadside service and communication of equipment status with operations and drivers.
• Maintain maintenance records, work orders, invoices, warranty information, and vehicle histories.
• Ensure DOT/FMCSA compliance and address defects and out-of-service conditions promptly.
• Establish safe work practices, training, and corrective actions.
• Recruit, train, coach, and evaluate maintenance personnel; lead through supervisors.
• Plan and manage annual maintenance budget; monitor costs; implement cost controls.
• Manage parts inventory, purchasing, cores, warranties, and vendor relationships.
• Analyze maintenance trends and KPIs; develop corrective and continuous-improvement plans.
• Develop replacement and capital planning recommendations for senior leadership.
• Support audits and provide requested maintenance records.
• Maintain regular attendance and respond to urgent issues outside normal hours when needed.
• Perform other duties and special projects.
