Job summary

WeDriveU is seeking a Maintenance Lead to manage hands-on repairs and the fleet maintenance program for a large passenger-vehicle operation in the United States. You will schedule, review, and oversee all preventive and corrective maintenance with in-house staff and external providers, while ensuring regulatory compliance and safe, reliable service.

The role requires ASE Master Technician certification, DOT compliance knowledge, and strong leadership with 5+ years in fleet maintenance.

Qualifications

• Must have DOT regulations experience for medium/heavy-duty vehicles.
• ASE Master Automotive/Truck Technician certification required.
• Experience with Google Workspace and Maximo is preferred.
• Proven hands-on mechanical diagnostic ability and repair experience.
• 5+ years in transportation, preferably passenger transport.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated supervision of maintenance staff and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose malfunctions and repair vehicles (engine, electrical, hydraulics, brakes, HVAC, suspension).
• Oversee maintenance scheduling with in-house and 3rd party providers.
• Record work orders, parts, and costs using ERP system.
• Lead daily maintenance tasks and assign work to technicians.
• Ensure compliance with DOT, federal, state, and local regulations.
• Conduct roadside response and on-road repairs as needed.
