Job summary

Avride is seeking a Fleet Associate to clean, sanitize, charge, and run light tech inspections on our autonomous vehicle fleet. You will ensure vehicles are connected, updated, and ready for deployment, performing detail work and basic maintenance as needed.

The role supports overnight shifts in Irving, TX, with a full-time 1-year contract via HireArt and possibility of extension. Collaboration with engineers and remote operators is required, with safety as a priority.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean record for at least 3 years.
• Experience in automotive detailing or porter work preferred.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and fleet monitoring.
• Clear communication with engineers and remote operators.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in diverse weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Detail vehicles inside and out, including windows and cargo areas.
• Clean and inspect high-tech sensors and cameras to precision standards.
• Ensure vehicles are charged and connected to the network for log uploads.
• Perform basic mechanical checks (tires, lights, fluids, wipers).
• Perform minor maintenance (replace wiper blades, top off fluids).
• Move vehicles safely around the lot, including loading/unloading at charging bays.
• Maintain digital logs of inspections and report safety issues to engineers.

Expected compensation: 20.00 - 23.00 USD Per Hour

Position Summary

The Fleet Associate is responsible for cleaning, sanitizing, charging, and performing light technical inspections on Avride’s autonomous vehicle fleet. This role ensures that every vehicle is connected, updated, and ready for deployment, addressing both cleanliness and basic maintenance needs to support daily fleet performance.

Available Shifts

• Thursday - Monday, 10:00 PM - 7:00 AM (Overnight)

Key Responsibilities

• Detailing: Wash and detail vehicles inside and out, including windows, interior surfaces, and cargo areas.
• Sensor Care: Clean and inspect high-tech sensors and cameras according to precision standards.
• Charging & Data: Ensure vehicles are properly charged on-site and connected to the network for log uploads.
• Mechanical Checks: Conduct basic inspections (tire pressure, lights, fluid levels, wipers, etc.).
• Light Maintenance: Perform minor tasks such as replacing wiper blades or topping off fluids.
• Logistics: Safely move vehicles (porter duties) around the lot and in/out of charging bays.
• Reporting: Maintain accurate digital logs of inspections and report any safety issues to the engineering team.

Requirements

• Driving Record: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (held for at least 3+ years)
• Experience: Previous experience in automotive detailing, porter work, or light mechanical work is preferred
• Tech Skills: Basic computer proficiency for data entry and fleet monitoring
• Communication: Effective communicator, able to collaborate with engineers and remote operators
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in diverse weather conditions (outdoor/garage)
• Attributes: Highly responsible, detail-oriented, and strictly safety-focused

Nice-to-Have

• Knowledge of vehicle control systems or experience with autonomous/EV technology.
