Job summary

Landstar is seeking a Trailer Maintenance Coordinator to ensure company-controlled trailing equipment remains safe and well-maintained. You will work with maintenance vendors, BCOs, agents, and internal teams to coordinate upkeep and approvals.

The role requires strong data entry, communication, and multi-tasking abilities, with focus on accurate recordkeeping and timely processing of repairs and DVIR documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of administrative customer support experience.
• Preferred: experience in transportation or vendor management.

Responsibilities

• Process and create work orders for repairs under $500.
• Maintain and update tracking spreadsheets daily.
• Process Vehicle Repair Orders (VROs) efficiently.
• Review repair history to identify duplicates and cost control.
• Provide phone support during high-volume periods.
• Manage Trailer911 email monitoring and POC/DVIR processing.
• Process invoices, inspection forms, POCs, and DVIR docs.
• Authorize repairs up to $1,500 and document estimates.
• Locate qualified repair facilities for company equipment.
• Educate vendors on Trailer Maintenance procedures.
• Research and identify trailing equipment inspections.
• Collaborate with Safety on trailer incidents.
