Job summary

Waste Pro USA in Broussard, LA is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Clerk to support the maintenance team with scheduling preventive maintenance, ordering parts, and maintaining maintenance records.

You will enter data daily, verify entries, manage part inventories, and generate reports for management while following safety policies.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and at least 6 months of related experience, plus proficiency in MS Office and fleet software.

Responsibilities

• Schedules preventive maintenance for Waste Pro vehicles and orders required parts for maintenance services.
• Files repair orders, safety lane forms, and DVIRs (Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports).
• Enters maintenance-related data into the system daily as needed and verifies information entered by mechanics.
• Orders parts requested by night and day shifts with shop manager approval.
• Maintains parts inventory including cycle counting.
• Receives, labels, stocks and dispenses parts to mechanics, supervisors and managers.
• Assists shop manager by reviewing maintenance staff time cards for missed punches and notifies manager where corrections are required.
• Produces productivity and usage reports for management.
• Follows all safety policies and procedures.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D and a minimum of 6 months of related work experience. Experience in the waste or trucking industry is preferred.
• Desire and ability to learn Waste Pro proprietary software applications.
• Computer proficiency – MS Office, data entry, Fleet Management software and email.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Ability to prioritize and plan work activities with speed and accuracy.
