Job summary

Waste Pro of Louisiana seeks a Fleet Technician for the Lake Charles area to support maintenance activities for the hauling division. The role involves scheduling preventive maintenance, ordering parts, maintaining maintenance systems, and generating reports for management.

The position requires a High School diploma or GED and at least 6 months of related experience, with preference for waste or trucking industry familiarity. Proficiency in MS Office, data entry, and fleet software is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 6 months related work experience.
• Experience in waste or trucking industry preferred.
• Willingness to learn Waste Pro proprietary software.
• Proficient with MS Office, data entry, Fleet Management software, and email.

Responsibilities

• Schedules Preventive Maintenance for Waste Pro vehicles and orders required parts for maintenance services.
• Files the repair orders, safety lane forms and DVIRs.
• Enters maintenance-related data into the system daily as needed; verifies information entered by mechanics.
• Orders parts requested from night and day shifts with shop manager approval.
• Maintains parts inventory including cycle counting.
• Receives, labels, stocks and dispenses parts to mechanics, supervisors and managers.
• Assists shop manager by reviewing maintenance staff time cards for missed punches and notifying manager where corrections are required.
• Produces productivity and usage reports for management.
• Follows all safety policies and procedures.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
