The City of New York is seeking a Fleet Liaison to oversee the management of approximately 350 vehicles, coordinating with DCAS Fleet, DOF, DOT, and IAD. Responsibilities include tracking utilization, maintenance, registrations, and budgeting while ensuring compliance and minimizing downtime.
Remote work may be available up to two days per week under the Remote Work Pilot Program. A NY driver’s license is required, and residency within NYC is generally expected within 90 days of appointment.
Fleet Liaisons are critical to ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of a fleet of approximately 350 vehicles. This role works closely with oversight agencies, including DCAS Fleet, the Department of Finance, Department of Transportation (DOT), and OMB, as well as internal audit units. By managing vehicle registrations, coordinating service schedules, and ensuring timely maintenance and inspections, the position reduces operational risk, minimizes downtime, and extends vehicle lifespan.
At the time of appointment to this position, you must have a motor vehicle driver license valid in the State of New York. If you have moving violations, license suspension, or an accident record, you may be disqualified. This license must be maintained for the duration of your employment.
This position may be eligible for remote work up to 2 days per week, pursuant to the Remote Work Pilot Program.

New York City residency is generally required within 90 days of appointment. However, City Employees in certain titles who have worked for the City for 2 continuous years may also be eligible to reside in Nassau, Suffolk, Putnam, Westchester, Rockland, or Orange County. To determine if the residency requirement applies to you, please discuss with the agency representative at the time of interview.
