Job summary

The City of Grants Pass is seeking a seasoned Fleet Superintendent to lead the Fleet Services Division, overseeing procurement, upfitting, maintenance, and replacement for Police, Fire, Parks and Public Works.

With responsibility for a fleet of over 200 units, the role requires strategic leadership, strong vendor relationships, and a focus on safe, reliable, and cost-efficient operations across city departments.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in business administration, engineering, or related field with six years of related experience, including three years in supervisory/management roles.
• Oregon Driver's License – Class C required.
• Knowledge of asset management, procurement, upfitting, and maintenance of a wide range of police, fire, and public-works vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and develop fleet staff including scheduling, performance management, and training.
• Oversee maintenance, inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance for the fleet.
• Manage inventory, parts, contracts, and vendor performance.
