Job summary

DLA Careers seeks an Equipment Specialist at the GS-09/11 level to ensure readiness of all vehicles and support equipment, using FLMIS for dispatch and maintenance scheduling. You will develop long-range procurement plans and technical specifications.

This role includes serving as COR on maintenance contracts, managing property and inventories, and delivering operator training for MHE and other vehicles while ensuring safety standards compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience with fleet operations and FLMIS.
• Develops procurement specs and long-range plans for equipment.
• Serves as a COR, monitoring contractor performance.
• Manages property accountability and inventories.
• Develops and conducts operator training for diverse equipment.
• Ensures compliance with safety standards (DOD/DLA/OSHA).

Responsibilities

• Manage readiness of vehicles and equipment using FLMIS.
• Prepare procurement specs and long-range plans for equipment purchases.
• Serve as COR for maintenance and repair contracts.
• Monitor contractor performance and accept completed work.
• Handle hand receipt for non-expendable property and inventories.
• Deliver operator training for MHE and other vehicles.
• Assist Site Safety Officer with inspections and safety programs.
