Job summary

Sysco is seeking an Operations associate responsible for daily safety checks of delivery equipment, fuel, and fluids to ensure readiness for operations. The role supports the fleet shop and night warehouse to prepare equipment for use and maintain cleanliness of the yard and trailers in accordance with FSQA schedules.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED and 1–3 months of related experience, with basic math and reading comprehension skills.

Qualifications

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Able to write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.

Responsibilities

• Fuel every piece of delivery equipment daily.
• Check all fluid levels of power equipment daily.
• Assist the fleet shop when needed.
• Work with fleet shop and night warehouse management to ready equipment for use.
• Wash trailers per FSQA schedule.
• Keep parking lot clean and free of debris.
• Support the night truck spotters to organize the truck yard.
