Job summary

Montana Construction Inc. is seeking an organized dispatcher to keep our crews supplied with the right equipment and to support CDL drivers and daily scheduling.

You will be the central point of contact between field crews, the shop, and project management. You will own the master daily schedule for personnel and equipment, coordinate rentals and moves, and ensure timely communication of changes to leadership and crews.

Qualifications

• Dispatch or fleet coordination experience in construction or related field.
• Familiarity with DOT and CDL compliance requirements.
• Experience with HCSS Dispatcher and Motive GPS or similar tools.
• Strong communication and ability to stay calm during busy dispatch hours.
• High attention to detail and accurate record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Supply crews with the right equipment and arrange replacements or rentals to minimize idle time.
• Coordinate all equipment moves between job sites, vendors, and repair facilities.
• Maintain the daily rental log and flag rentals that run past the requested duration.
• Work with the shop to decide repairs: field, on-site, or at a facility.
• Own the master daily schedule for personnel and equipment, updating it in real time.
• Manage CDL drivers: onboarding with HR, DOT documentation, road tests, training, PTO scheduling, incident reviews, and progressive discipline.
• Log significant moves, breakdowns, and rental decisions and keep leadership informed.
