Independence Excavating is seeking an Equipment Dispatcher to plan and dispatch heavy equipment and assets, ensuring safety compliance and efficient schedules. The role involves coordinating with leadership, coordinating repairs, and maintaining clear communications across crews.

Qualified candidates typically have 5+ years of dispatch experience, familiarity with DOT regulations, and strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of dispatch experience with heavy equipment.
• Knowledge of DOT/Federal Motor Carrier Regulations.
• Ability to multitask across several projects.
• Proficiency with MS Office including Outlook, Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and dispatch heavy equipment, or other assets, to appropriate locations according to requests and specifications. Prepare daily work and run schedules.
• Responsible for DOT and fleet safety regulatory compliance.
• Oversee all communications and relay messages and information to or from leadership and work crews.
• Work with leadership in order to address questions, problems, and requests for service or equipment.
• Collaborate with heavy shop for necessary repairs in order to restore service and schedules.
