Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in marine engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of marine engineering or equivalent experience (must include a minimum of 5 years of management experience).
• Knowledge of all aspects of vessel repair and fabrication.
• Must possess a valid Driver License with a good driving record.
• Computer literacy and strong oral/written communication are required.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the daily activities of engineering staff at the Central Bay Facility, ensuring efficient execution of scheduled work orders, support of vessel operations, management of employee schedules and leave, and accurate completion and approval of timecards.
• Investigates workplace incidents, near misses, and significant operational issues to support continuous improvement in safety, environmental performance, and customer service.
• Assists in maintaining ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certification programs, including documentation control, record management, training coordination, and audit support.
• Champions a culture of safety, environmental stewardship, and exceptional customer service by promoting best practices and ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
• Perform quality control inspections of all maintenance work, sub-contractor and shipyard work.
• Manage all communication with all CB Engineers, and provide updates to the Director of Engineering.
• Prioritize tasks, work orders, preventative maintenanceand assign & schedule work.
• Ensure that all maintenance work is completed following established safe working practices, utilizing the proper PPE for all engineers and sub-contractors.
• Collaborate with CentralBay Operations staff to diagnose issues, identify root causes, and allocate appropriate resources to ensure safe and efficient vessel operations.
• Manage inspections of WETA assets to monitor and improve our maintenance plans.
