Job summary

Spirit Airlines is actively seeking an Aircraft Engineer focused on structures and compliance. The role involves regulating adherence to FAA directives, reviewing drawings, and delivering engineering solutions to improve fleet reliability.

The ideal candidate has a engineering background, 3–5 years in a technical role, and experience with Airbus A320 family. Willingness to travel and work beyond standard hours is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in a technical field.
• Experience with Airbus A320 family preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Experience with cost/benefit analysis and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Ensure aircraft regulatory compliance with FAA ADs, FARs, and related regulations.
• Control aircraft configuration and build specification.
• Develop engineering responses to fleet performance and reliability issues.
• Review ADs/FARs/SFARs and ensure compliance.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and related information.
• Provide engineering solutions and cost-effective improvements.
