Job summary

PSA Airlines, a subsidiary of American Airlines, seeks an experienced aerospace professional to provide engineering and maintenance leadership for the CRJ-700/900 platform. You will ensure safe, compliant operation, manage maintenance programs, and support FAA approvals.

The role emphasizes on-site technical engineering, collaboration across the airline, and driving safe, reliable operations while contributing to ongoing process improvements and safety programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent technical experience.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Technical Operations / Maintenance.
• Knowledge of CFRs, airworthiness design and substantiation criteria, aircraft and equipment design and operational characteristics.
• Proven experience in managing projects and implementing change initiatives.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to tackle intricate issues.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to manage team dynamics and stakeholder relationships.
• Ability to speak/read/write in English; US work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Studies, analyzes, and seeks solutions to problems related to the design, operation, maintenance, performance, modification, or repair of aircraft, and their components.
• Develops complex solutions and implementation plans, project justification, cost/benefit analysis, management of project implementation, technical support, and obtaining FAA approvals as required
• Defines maintenance program, configuration, and serviceability criteria ensuring safe and compliant 121 operations which includes review and implementation of applicable Services Bulletins (SBs) and FAA Airworthiness Directives (AD) for PSA's fleet
• Interprets complex and technical Engineering and OEM documents.
• Evaluates the benefits of the cost impact of a fleet decision to ensure an optimum balance of cost, asset utilization, quality, and reliability.
• Provides on-site technical Engineering assistance as needed for the successful operation of PSA Airlines.
• Partner and collaborate with all facets of the airline to achieve superior safety and reliability results.
• Responsible for the Company's Security and Safety Management System (SMS) and associated Safety Risk Management and Safety Assurance outputs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
