Job summary

AlphaHire is seeking a remote-first consultant to support public-sector and large-fleet electrification initiatives. You will assess fleets, model energy demand and charging layouts, and evaluate facility capacity to inform multi-year transition roadmaps.

You will advise on funding pathways such as NEVI, CFI, VW mitigation, and state clean-fleet incentives, and contribute to proposals as expert collaborator when authorized.

Qualifications

• Experience planning public-sector or large-fleet electrification projects.
• Knowledge of EV duty-cycle analysis and depot charging concepts.
• Ability to write transition plans and briefings for agency operations and fleet leaders.
• Experience as a remote, 1099 project consultant with occasional client travel.
• Experience with municipal, county, transit, school-bus, or utility fleet electrification preferred.
• Familiarity with NEVI, CFI, VW mitigation, or state clean-fleet incentives preferred.

• Contribute qualifications and past-performance narratives to proposals when authorized

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience planning public-sector or large-fleet electrification or zero-emission transitions
• Working knowledge of EV duty-cycle analysis, depot charging concepts, and phased replacement planning
• Ability to write clear transition plans and briefings for agency operations and fleet leaders
• Ability to work as a 1099 project-based consultant in a remote-first arrangement with occasional client travel
• Experience with municipal, county, transit, school-bus, or utility fleet electrification preferred
• Familiarity with NEVI, CFI, VW mitigation, or state clean-fleet incentive programs preferred
• Experience using fleet telematics, GIS, or lifecycle cost models in transition studies preferred
